Welcome to the Southwestern Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Leaders!

SWPONL is a strong, independent, and active professional organization for current and future nurse leaders from a variety of areas of practice. For over 31 years, SWPONL has provided a forum for nurse leaders from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, community nursing areas, rehabilitation facilities, academia, and consulting to share current and relevant information affecting practice.  SWPONL engages nurse leaders in acting upon important pending legislation and other pertinent issues related to nursing practice and leadership, and provides multiple educational opportunities throughout the year.

SWPONL's Board of Directors believe that we can best serve the members by remaining an independent organization for nurse leaders in the region, continuing to strengthen our services to our members, strengthening our voice as leaders, and supporting the mission and values of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE).
