Education Committee
SWPONL's Education Committee members organize three Network Sessions a year. These are generally held in February, June and November. The Committee also coordinates SWPONL's Spring Business Meeting, in conjunction with the Healthcare Forum. The high point of the Committee's activities is the SWPONL Annual Meeting and Conference, featuring national speakers and cutting edge topics.

Membership Committee
Preparing and distributing current information to potential SWPONL candidates are the primary responsibilities of the Membership Committee. Recruitment strategies for the coming year focus on nurse leaders in long term care.

Policy/Legislative Committee
The Policy/Legislative Committee monitors and communicates key state and federal legislative and regulatory developments to the SWPONL Board and membership, guides the continued development of the Policy & Legislative section of the SWPONL Web site, and keeps the SWPONL Board and members current on legislative and regulatory developments, on both state and federal levels. Committee members monitor proposed State Board of Nursing rule changes throughout the year, participate in related meetings and offer recommendations on behalf of the SWPONL membership.

Bylaws Committee
The Bylaws Committee reviews and updates the SWPONL bylaws to reflect current activities and is responsible for informing the membership of bylaw changes and revisions.

Nominating Committee
These members develop and present the slate of candidates for open Board officer and director positions as part of the annual SWPONL election process.

Scholarship/Research Committee
The Committee administers two award programs, open to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria.
