2010 Committee Openings
Consider getting involved with one or more of SWPONL's projects this year! Getting involved is a great way to help move the organization forward, network with other nurse executives in the area, and even discover some of your hidden talents! The three committees below are open to members participation and oversee most of the projects and events sponsored by SWPONL.
The Membership Committee is your place to strategize! This committee is responsible for tracking membership growth and retention. This committee oversees new member marketing campaigns and recruitment. In 2009 they will be working on maintaining SWPONL's strong membership numbers and increasing the value of membership. With membership, the more the merrier!
The Practice & Legislation Committee is the best place to make a difference with the legislative issues important to the field. Members keep their eyes and ears open for relevant legislative & practice news. They write regular member announcements, calls for action, and letters to elected officials to communicate the urgent legislative issues of the day. They are responsible for giving SWPONL a collective voice in Harrisburg and Washington, D.C.
The Education Committee is your place to think big! These guys plan SWPONL's Networking Sessions, Annual Educational Meeting and, new for 2009, Happy Hour Round Tables. Members of this committee may help to recruit speakers or sponsors, look for event locations, help organize events on-site, act as speaker liaisons, or much more. Come bring your ideas to the table!
